Welcome to the Portfolio mobile for iPhone User Guide. This guide will be updated periodically to reflect changes to the interface and new features. If you can’t find information related to a specific topic, please visit our online forums or contact support via email.
As of version 3.0, Portfolio mobile for iPhone now supports portrait and landscape orientations throughout the app. You will find that main interface controls change as your rotate from portrait to landscape to maximize usable screen space. The following screen shots show examples of both orientation.
The many features of Portfolio mobile are divided into main view categories in the tab bar located at the bottom of the screen. Each tab represents a specific type of data, organization viewpoint, or function of the app. The extensive feature set of this app expands beyond the 5 possible tabs shown on screen at any time. You can swipe the tab bar from side to side to reveal additional options. You’ll notice that arrow icons appear on the sides of tab bar to indicate when more options exist in either direction.
Pictured above, you’ll notice that the Refresh button always occupies the left most position in the tab bar. This can be used to refresh quotes for the view you are currently focused on.
The tab bar has several important features:
- Tapping a tab item will take you to the corresponding view for that functionality. For example, tapping the Portfolios tab item will take you to your portfolios.
- When viewing stock details, you can tap the tab item to return to the parent view. For example, if you are viewing stock details for a stock inside of a portfolio, tap the Portfolios tab item to return to the list of portfolios.
- The tab bar can be scrolled to reveal additional functions by swiping right-to-left and left-to-right.
