Open Financial eXchange (OFX) gives customers the flexibility to access their financial data through various 3rd party applications including Quicken, Microsoft Money and more. By supporting this interface, your financial institutions give you greater control to manage and track your investments. Using OFX, our apps can access and download recent trade history directly from your broker so that you never have to manually enter another trade again.

Support for OFX is common at most, but not all, major brokerage firms. Those that offer this feature typically provide at most 90 days of trade history. This makes OFX a great ongoing option for regular updates to your portfolio data but a poor choice for initial setup. While some brokers provide significantly more than 90 days, the typical user will have to perform manual back entry of prior trading activity or use one of our import interfaces to perform the initial setup.
